PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reference data acquiring device capable of performing matching without omission by using reference data for points where there is the possibility that a vehicle enters while preventing the matching from being performed by using the reference data that can be an erroneous recognition.SOLUTION: A reference data acquiring device 50 comprises: a matching point identifying section 51a for identifying matching points that are present in a predetermined range from a current position of a vehicle 2 out of matching points where there is the possibility that matching of reference data and captured images is performed; an entering direction identifying section 51b for identifying entering directions of the vehicle 2 to the matching points identified by the matching point identifying section 51a; and a reference data acquiring section 51c for acquiring reference data corresponding to matching points where angle differences between the entering directions of the vehicle 2 to the matching points and a traveling direction of the vehicle 2 are a predetermined value or more out of the matching points present in the predetermined range from the current position of the vehicle 2.
