PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser light source having a laser element and an optical element whose end faces are arranged close to each other, and easily and directly coupled at a low loss. SOLUTION: The laser light source 100 includes the laser element 101 and an optical element 110 having an optical waveguide 111 formed to guide and emit incident laser light. The emission end face 101b of the laser element 101 and the incident end face 110a of the optical element 110 are in parallel to each other. The optical waveguide 111 is formed in the direction θw1 represented by θw1=arcsin(sinθa1/nF), wherein θa1 is an emission angle of the laser light from the laser element 101, nF is an effective refractive index of the optical waveguide 111 for the laser light.
