PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasticizing screw of an injection molding machine which can diminish the generated cracked gas of a resin or an additive by improving the shape of a plasticizing screw compression part of the injection molding machine.
SOLUTION: This screw S of the injection molding machine includes a supply part F, a compression part C and a measuring part M. Fig. 7 illustrates a part of the compression part C of the screw S. A liquid melt film 112 which is through with a melting process, easily flows to the forward part (a melt film flow direction 116) of the screw across a screw flight 10c, then a the solid bed 114 of a solid phase is caught by a stepped part 118 found forward of a screw groove and is transferred to the apex side of the screw S receiving a shear compression along the screw groove 12c. Thus it is possible to melt the resin by selectively applying the shear compression to the solid bed 114. Consequently, the shear compression energy level to be applied to the resin can be saved and the amount of the generated cracked gas can be reduced.
