PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a wind turbine that is capable of reducing or at least insignificantly increasing an unwanted fluctuation in voltage at a prescribed point in an electric grid even when the output of non-reactive power fluctuates as compared to the situation with no wind turbine(s). SOLUTION: A voltage is measured at least at one point in an electric grid. From the measured voltage value and a value of a predetermined parameter, a microcontroller derives a value to be set as a phase angle ϕ which represents an angle with respect to a current and a voltage of power supplied to the electric grid, and sets the phase angle ϕ as a target phase angle by controlling an inverter.
