PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser-engraved printing original plate which can be subjected to near-infrared laser engraving, excellent in solvent resistance and is sufficiently suppressed from being swollen by various solvents contained in a solvent ink used in printing. SOLUTION: The laser-engraved printing original plate is obtained by thermosetting a resin layer consisting of a resin composition. The resin composition includes a polycarbonate diol consisting of a repeating unit represented by general formula (1) and also includes resin (a) with a number average molecular weight of 300 to 300,000, an organic compound (b) with a number average molecular weight below 10,000 and having polymerizable unsaturated groups, a laser absorbing agent (c), and a thermopolymerization initiator (d).
