PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent fall of merchandise display racks in supermarkets, convenience stores, or the like, and suppress a possibility of easy falling of merchandise placed on the merchandise display racks from shelf boards during earthquake.
SOLUTION: In the merchandise fall preventing display rack, a rack frame forming a display rack is fixed to a floor to prevent the fall of the display rack during the earthquake, a shelf board on which the merchandise are placed is formed independent of the rack frame, the shelf board and the rack frame are connected with a wire-like metal string or synthetic fiber string with a high strength and a little stretch, and when the rack frame shakes, the rack board is adapted to shake while keeping its horizontal position so as to reduce the possibility of the fall of the merchandise on the shelf board.
