PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality and durability of a belt.
SOLUTION: The apparatus for producing the belt 132 stretched between a primary pulley and a secondary pulley composing a transmission and provided with ring plates 51 and pins connecting the ring plates 51 includes: a first pulley 71 and second pulleys arranged freely rotatably at prescribed intervals; and a driving part changing the winding position of the belt 132 to the first pulley 71 and the second pulleys. The opening angle of the V grooves 23 of the first pulley 71 and the second pulleys is set so as to be wider than the opening angle of the primary pulley and the secondary pulley in the transmission. By the widened degree of the opening angle, the component force of the opposite force in the axial direction of the first pulley 71 and the second pulleys is reduced; thus the quantity of the deflection in the pins is reduced.
