PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an input device with good operability, in which a user can select a desired selection button from a plurality of selection buttons displayed on a display screen without clicking a button provided on a pointing device, while preventing erroneous operation. SOLUTION: In the input device, a control part determines whether a pointer is moved on any selection button or not. When the control part determines that the pointer has moved on any selection button, the control part successively determines whether the pointer has leaved this selection button or not. When the control part determines leaving of the pointer from this selection button, the control part successively determines whether the pointer has moved again on this selection button or not. When the control part determines the pointer has moved again on this selection button again, the control part decides this selection button as a selection button selected by the user.
