PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily cope with an error even if it happens during a process. SOLUTION: The medicine packaging system includes a medicine supply means 1 for supplying a medicine according to prescription data, a medicine standby means 11 for once holding the medicine supplied by the medicine supply means 1 and keeping it in a standby state, a printing means 2 for printing corresponding data on packaging paper according to the prescription data, a packaging paper conveyance means for conveying packaging paper 15, a medicine packaging means 3 for packaging the medicine, supplied by the medicine supply means 1, in the packaging paper 15 in a packaging position, and a control means for conveying the packaging paper 15 by the packaging paper conveying means so that the part on which the corresponding data has been printed by the printing means 2 comes to the packaging position, thereby allowing the medicine packaging means 3 to package the corresponding medicine kept in the standby state by the medicine standby means 11.
