PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular lighting device in which lighting efficiency is not reduced by shielding the light emitted from a light source and a low cost is realized by eliminating a movable structure such as a movable shade.
SOLUTION: The lighting device is provided with a plurality of lamps having unique light distribution characteristics respectively, and by selecting and lighting these plurality of lamps, the illuminating light of each lamp is integrated and required light distribution characteristics are obtained, and these plurality of lamps comprise a lamp P-L which illuminates the region excluding the immediate front part of the vehicle and lamps W-LL which illuminate only the immediate front part region of the vehicle. By lighting these lamps simultaneously or selectively, appropriate light distribution characteristics corresponding to various driving situation of the vehicle can be established. Since a shading means of movable structure for cutting off the light emitted from the light source is not necessary, lighting efficiency can be improved and the structure of lamps can be simplified and low cost can be realized.
