PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clutch control device and a clutch control method capable of adopting a logic on a differential rotational speed basis to a torque capacity control in the transient state of a clutch by a simple structure. SOLUTION: This clutch control device comprises a differential rotational speed calculation means 4a calculating a differential rotational speed between the drive side and the driven side of the clutch, a speed ratio calculation means 4h calculating the speed ratio of the clutch, a torque factor setting means 4b setting a torque factor based on the speed ratio, an offset correction amount setting means 4c setting an offset correction amount based on an equivalent value to an accelerator operation amount, a transmission torque calculation means 4e calculating a transmission torque which must be transmitted by the clutch based on the speed of an engine, the torque factor, and the offset correction amount, a transmission torque correction means 4f performing correction calculation to reduce the transmission torque according to the differential rotational speed during the starting of a vehicle, and a clutch control means 4g controlling the engaged state of the clutch based on the transmission torque for which correction calculation is performed.
