PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high concentration catechin-containing packaged beverage containing non-polymeric catechins at high concentration, having excellent flavor, prevented from occurrence and deposition of precipitation for a long period and suitable for drinking for a long period. SOLUTION: The refined product of green tea extract (a) contains 55-90 wt.% of non-polymeric catechins per solid of the refined product of green tea extract and (b) has a b * value in a color measurement color-difference meter of 39-10 when bringing the refined product of green tea extract to an aqueous solution having 1 wt.% of non-polymeric catechin concentration and a total light transmittance (τt) in a turbidimeter of 83%-95%. The high concentration catechin-containing packaged beverage mixed with the refined product of green tea extract has non-polymeric catechin concentration of 0.06-1.0 wt.%. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
