PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve certainty for clamping a cap by making both a clamping torque and a clamping angle for the cap appropriate in a cap clamping apparatus.
SOLUTION: The cap clamping apparatus 10 has a torque detecting means 25A for detecting a clamping torque given to the cap 1 by a chuck rotating actuator 18, an angle detecting means 25B for detecting a clamping angle given to the cap 1 by the chuck rotating actuator 18, and a controlling means 20 for predetermining an appropriate clamping condition combining an appropriate clamping torque and an appropriate clamping angle, and comparing the detected results of the torque detecting means 25A and the angle detecting means 25B with the appropriate clamping condition to discriminate between good and bad in clamping.
