PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the air-permeability without changing specifications such as thickness, wale density and course density of a multifiber yarn constituting the knit conventionally used for an interior material for an automobile while keeping qualities of property strength and qualities of appearance.
SOLUTION: A soluble multifiber yarn easily soluble in a specific solvent is interknitted with an original knit constituted of an insoluble multifiber yarn insoluble or slightly soluble in the specific solvent to provide the original knit, and dissolving the soluble multifiber yarn interknitted with the original knit by imparting the specific solvent to form air-permeable spaces corresponding to the size (thickness) of the dissolved soluble multifiber yarn at the stitches of the original knit formed by the insoluble multifiber yarn.
