PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe joint allowing easy and quick attachment and removal of a plug to/from a socket and capable of reducing the manufacturing cost through a decrease in the number of component parts.
SOLUTION: The plug 14 of this pipe joint is furnished with a tapered projection 40 protruding in an angle shape in the circumferential direction, and a connection holding tool 16 to couple the socket 12 with the plug 14 is made of a material deformable with an external force and is provided with a plurality of fitting holes 52 to fit on the tapered projection 40 on the plug 14. Through fitting of the projection 40 in the fitting hole 52, the connection holding tool 16 and the plug 14 are fixed in such a condition as pinching the socket 12, and the plug 14 and the socket 12 will never separated even if a tensile force is applied in the axial direction. Fitting of the projection 40 in the hole 52 is released by rotating the plug 14 and the connection holding tool 16, and thereby the plug 14 and the socket 12 can be removed.
