PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushioning member for a shoe sole and a shoe sole corresponding to the same, which reduce multidimentional loads on the muscle and bone caused by reaction force from the ground during initial landing of the heel. SOLUTION: A slide member 1 for the shoe sole of a sports shoe has an upper slide surface and a lower slide surface. The lower slide surface is disposed under the upper slide surface so as to slide at least in two directions. The upper slide surface is provided as the lower side of an upper heel cup 3, and the lower slide surface is provided as the upper side of a lower side heel cup. The upper and lower heel cups each substantially have a shape of part of a spherical surface. The shoe sole is disposed with respective members of the slide member 1 between a lower sole body 30 and an upper sole body 31 of a midsole. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
