PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide resistive element which has the improved resistance stability to the repeated impressing of surges. SOLUTION: The oxide resistive element comprises a copper oxide as a component substance of the resistive element and a metal oxide containing at least one kind of oxides selected from Sr, Ti, Fe, Re, Cr, V, Nb, Mo, Ba, Pr and Ca. The oxide resistive element uses the metal oxide part as an electrical conducting phase.
