PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an antimicrobial agent composition having high safety, high activity and wide antimicrobial spectrum. SOLUTION: This antimicrobial agent composition contains 1-[[(3-iodo-2- propynyl)oxy]methoxy]-4-methoxybenzene, and at least one or more kinds selected from the compounds of (a) 2-(4-thiazolyl)benzimidazole, (b) methylene bisthiocyanate, (c) 2-(4-thiocyanomethylthio)benzothiazole, (d) 3-iodo-2- propynylbutyl carbamate, (e) zinc salt of 2-n-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one and (f) 2-pyridinethiol-1-oxide.
