摘要:
A precision liquid crystal spatial optical modulator device capable of being controlled by electric signals is realized using fine structure electrodes whose width (W) is smaller than the thickness (H) of a liquid crystal layer, bringing adjacent electrodes close to one another, and driving them interconnectedly so as to spatially and finely control both liquid crystal molecule layers oriented immediatly below the driving electrodes and immediately below the electrodes gaps. A fine structure optical diffraction grating capable of electronic control which improves pattern positional accuracy of a liquid crystal optical modulator device, reduces a pattern formation error and improves an aperture ration of the liquid crystal modulator device can realized.
