The venting devices known are provided with an adsorption filter (1) in connection with the atmosphere through a pipe venting (46) controlled by a valve stop (51). The impurities contained in the air settle in the shut-off valve during their passage, so that the valve no longer sealingly closes. This is the reason why a particulate filter (41) is placed upstream of the stop valve. This filter causes méanmoins a pressure drop due to its reduced cross section. A particulate filter (41) to large integrated area dnas the housing (22) of the adsorption filter (1) avoids fouling of the check valve (51) as well as a sharp drop too the pressure of the air passing through the particulate filter (41). The integrated design allows easy mounting of the adsorption filter (1). This new venting device is particularly suitable for internal combustion engines of motor vehicles.
