The invention provides a preparation method of a bi-metal phosphorus compound with an MOF (metal-organic framework) as a template, the obtained bi-metal phosphorus compound and an application of the bi-metal phosphorus compound. The preparation method comprises steps as follows: nickel salt, vanadic salt and a polybasic carboxylic acid compound react to obtain Ni-V-MOF; then, Ni-V-MOF and a phosphorus source react to obtain the bi-metal phosphorus compound. The provided bi-metal phosphorus compound can keep the framework structure of a precursor Ni-V-MOF, the structure collapse problem of an inside structure in a large current and long circulation test can be solved, electrolyte penetration is facilitated, contact of an electrolyte with an electrode material is increased, a shorter ion transmission distance is realized, the stability of the whole electrode structure is guaranteed, and more excellent rate capability and circulation performance are realized.
