The invention provides a die-casting aluminum alloy for a smart phone and a preparation method and application thereof, and belongs to the technical field of metal materials. The aluminum alloy comprises the following raw materials: 12-16wt% of Zn, 9-11wt% of Si, 0.4-0.6wt% of Mg, 0.3-0.6wt% of Fe, 0.3-0.6wt% of Mn, 0.005-0.01wt% of B, not greater than 0.15wt% of impurity elements, and the balanceAl. The aluminum alloy is high in casting performance and self-quenching performance, so that the microhardness and yield strength are high; in addition, the aluminum alloy is free from rare elementsand harmful elements, so that the cost is low, and the aluminum alloy is nontoxic and harmless. The preparation method comprises the step of casting a melt containing the abovementioned chemical components. The method is simple to operate, and beneficial for industrial production; and the aluminum alloy has a good application prospect after being applied to spare parts which are complex in shapeand high in requirements on strength and rigidity in the mobile phone industry, communication industry and other industries.
