The invention discloses a method for sequencing an LED lamp string. The method is applied to an LED lamp string which comprises a plurality of LED units connected in series. The LED units, after connected in series, have different parasitic capacitive reactance and resistance-capacitance time constants. The method for sequencing an LED lamp string comprises the steps of: transmitting an address pulse signal to the LED units; transmitting a clamp voltage to the LED units when the voltage of the address pulse signal drops; detecting the receiving voltage of an LED unit in a receiving state; andwhen it is detected that the receiving voltage is less than a default voltage due to an overshoot phenomenon, enabling the LED unit to store the address pulse signal to have address sequence data. Themethod can make a simple sequencing operation for the plurality of LED units of the LED lamp string.
