The invention discloses a cross-flow type washable folded filter element assembly. According to the filter element assembly, a fluid enters a folded filter element cavity through inner inlets of the upper end of a shell, and is filtered through a folded filter element, then enters a central pipe and flows out from an outlet, and the unfiltered fluid is discharged from inner outlets of the lower end of the shell, so that the cross-flow of the fluid on the surface of a filter membrane is realized, and contaminants are difficult to adhere to the surface of the folded filter element, thereby the service life of the filter element is improved. The upper and lower two ends of the folded filter membrane have the same radian as an upper end cover and a lower end cover, and thus no contamination receiving dead angle exists in the cross-flow process of the fluid in the filter element, and the service life and the flux of the filter element are further improved.
