The invention discloses an antistatic ceramic and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: (1) subjecting zirconia to ball milling and mixing in water, thenadding a binder and continuing ball milling to obtain a mixture; (2) subjecting conductive fibers and an additive for ceramic to ultrasonic dispersion in water, then adding the dispersed additive andconductive fibers into the mixture obtained in the step (1), carrying out mixing, and filling an insulating test mold with the obtained mixture so as to prepare a ceramic body; and (3) applying a direct-current or alternating-current electric field onto the ceramic body and carrying out calcination in a protective atmosphere. The antistatic ceramic has low production cost, good electrical conductivity and stable electrical conductivity. Compared with conductive ceramics obtained by directly adding conductive powder or spraying the conductive powder onto the surfaces of ceramic tiles, the antistatic ceramic of the invention has better conductivity and is high in yield and density and not prone to layering, and a sintered product has no defect. Moreover, raw materials used in the invention are easy to obtain and low in cost; and the preparation method is simple in process and easy to promote.
