The invention belongs to the technical field of catalyst preparation, and discloses a modified carrier, a supported catalyst and applications thereof. The modified carrier comprises a carrier and a metal oxide with a needle-like or flaky crystal structure; and the supported catalyst is a specific molybdenum, bismuth and iron containing metal oxide supported on the surface of the modified carrier.The metal oxide with a specific crystal structure provided by the invention can well connect a carrier and catalyst powder, i.e., reinforce connection between the catalyst powder and the carrier, improves stability and mechanical properties of the supported catalyst, prolongs the service life of the supported catalyst, and provides a powerful guarantee for a smooth catalytic oxidation reaction. Compared with a modified carrier or an unmodified carrier in the prior art, the modified carrier provided by the invention prepares the supported catalyst which has better stability and mechanical properties and is more favorable for catalytic oxidation of light olefins to produce unsaturated aldehydes and/or unsaturated acids.
