The invention provides a composite insulator with a nonlinear electric conductive material voltage-sharing structure, applicable to an alternating current electric power system, and belongs to the design field of high-voltage equipment. The composite insulator comprises an end part fitting ball socket, a core rod, a silicon rubber umbrella skirt and sheath and an end part fitting ball head; the end part fitting ball socket and the end part fitting ball head are mounted at the upper and lower ends of the core rod respectively; the end part fitting ball socket and the end part fitting ball headare connected with a low-voltage end and a high-voltage end respectively; the outer side of the core rod is packaged with the silicon rubber umbrella skirt and sheath; upper and lower nonlinear electric conductive material voltage-sharing layers are arranged between the upper and lower ends of the core rod, and the silicon rubber umbrella skirt and sheath respectively; and the upper and lower nonlinear electric conductive material voltage-sharing layers are both prepared from the nonlinear electric conductive material which is obtained from zinc oxide ceramic powder granules and silicon rubberin a compounding manner. By introducing the nonlinear electric conductive voltage-sharing layers, the field intensity on the insulator is uniform in distribution, so that reliability of the insulatoris improved, an effect of replacement of a grading ring can be played, and cost and weight of the composite insulator can be lowered.
