In order to enable simple individual adaptability of the shoe and to improve the grip of the shoe on the ground, sole (2), according to the invention, comprises: a first sole part (4), which has a bottom plate (5), wherein a number of first damping elements (6) is arranged on the bottom plate (5); a second sole part (7), which has a cover plate (8), wherein a number of second damping elements (9) is arranged on the cover plate (8); a connecting part (10), which has a number ofplug connections (11) connected to each other, wherein each plug connection (11) has a first plug (12) directed downward and a second plug (13) directed upward, wherein the first plug (12) is designedto engage in a section of the first damping element (6), and wherein the second plug (13) is designed to engage in a section of the second damping element (9), wherein at least a number of the firstplugs (12) directed downward extends through an opening (14) in the bottom plate (5) in such a way that, when the sole (2) is deformed by the weight of the wearer (F), the first plug (12) protrudes from the lower surface (15) of the sole (2) further than without application of the weight of the wearer.
