The invention relates to a method for judging and solving a failure of a bypass switch of a high-impedance transformer. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps of (1) collectingthree-phase current at a high voltage side of the high-impedance transformer and an opening position of the bypass switch through a protection device of the high-impedance transformer; (2) judging a failure of the bypass switch through the collected three-phase current at the high voltage side and opening position of the bypass switch; and (3) after the judgment result meets a failure logic in thestep (2), judging the failure of the bypass switch and executing a failure export strategy. It has been proved by trial that reliable bypass switch failure protection can be provided for the high-impedance transformer after the method is adopted, so that a bypass reactor is effectively protected and the condition that the bypass reactor is burnt out due to the fact that failure current flows through the bypass reactor for a long period of time is avoided.
