The invention provides a piece of gas production equipment and a safe furnace opening method thereof. The safe furnace opening method comprises the following steps: displacement gas is introduced intoa water gas dust collector and a water gas waste heat recovery device at the beginning of preset displacement time before furnace is opened, in order to sweep oxygen in the water gas dust collector and the water gas waste heat recovery device, wherein the preset displacement time and the furnace opening time have preset time interval. Before the furnace is opened, the displacement gas is used forsweeping the water gas dust collector and the water gas waste heat recovery device, displacement gas is used for replacing oxygen, oxygen content of the gas which is discharged from a chimney is reduced, so that the problem that the chimney is fired during the furnace is opened is solved, and safety of the furnace opening is improved. When the steam and oxygen are introduced into the furnace, thedisplacement gas can be used as protection gas which is highly discharged by the chimney along with the gas, and the furnace opening in a safe and controllable case is guaranteed.
