The magnetic recording head includes an air bearing surface (43), a magnetic core including a main magnetic pole (60) comprising a high-magnetic-permeability material and a write shield (62) being arranged to clamp a nonconductive layer inside the main magnetic pole and to clamp a conductive non-magnetic layer at an air bearing surface to form a write gap and include a high-magnetic-permeability material, a coil, a high-frequency oscillator (65) provided between the main magnetic pole and the write shield in the write gap, and a pair of current terminals used for making direct current flow between the main magnetic pole and the write shield. A nonmagnetic layer (84) with magnetic microparticles dispersed is provided outside a magnetic body layer (82) including a high-magnetic-permeability material in at least a part of the opposite surface of the magnetic core.
