The invention discloses a railway self-powered meter-rail caboose for passengers and freight. The railway self-powered meter-rail caboose comprises a caboose body steel structure, a braking device, a steering frame, caboose coupler buffer devices, an interior trimming assembly, a power supply system and a water supply system. The caboose body steel structure is a rectangular structure formed by two side walls, two end walls, a caboose roof and an underbed. The braking device, the steering frame and the power supply system are installed at the bottom of the caboose body steel structure. The power supply system achieves caboose self power supply. The two ends of the caboose body structure are each provided with one caboose coupler buffer device. A working room, a freight room and a bathroom are formed in the caboose body steel structure, the working room can be used for transporting personnel, and the freight room is used for loading and transporting goods.
