The invention relates to a glass substrate grinding system which comprises a grinding device, a cooling device, a water extraction device. The grinding device comprises a grinding cover (1), a grinding wheel (2) arranged in the grinding cover (1) and a first driving piece (3) used for driving the grinding wheel (2) to rotate; the edge of a glass substrate (4) enters a grinding groove extending in the circumferential direction of the grinding wheel (2); the cooling device is arranged in the grinding cover (1) and used for spraying cooling water to the grinding positions in contact with the grinding wheel (2) and the glass substrate (4); and the water extraction device is connected to the grinding cover (1) and used for extracting out the cooling water in the grinding cover (1). By means of the above technical scheme, the glass substrate grinding system can extract glass chippings generated in the grinding process and the cooling water for cooling the glass substrate in time, the glass chippings and grinding powder are prevented from being attached to the surface of the glass substrate along with the cooling water, and the quality of the glass substrate is prevented from being influenced.
