The invention discloses a making method for a light-emitting diode with zinc oxide-magnesium oxide nuclear shell quantum dots. The method is characterized in that in a spin coating mode, materials of PEDOT:PSS, polyvinyl carbazole (PVK), the ZnO-MgO nuclear shell quantum dots and others are arranged on an ITO electrode of a glass substrate in sequence, appropriate temperature and time are selected for annealing treatment for all the layers of materials, and the light-emitting diode is made through evaporation of an aluminum electrode. The whole component can be subjected to an experiment in the atmosphere, light-emitting peaks where eye-catching ZnO near-band edges can be observed are around 370 nm, and ultraviolet light emitting of the ZnO-MgO nuclear shell quantum dots is effectively achieved. In addition, on the whole of an optical spectrum, light emitting of PEDOT:PSS at 600 nm and light emitting of PEDOT:PSS AT 410 nm can be achieved, and white light is obtained through combination between light-emitting peaks. The made light-emitting component not only has the advantages of being high in light-emitting strength, low in starting voltage and the like, but also has the advantages of being low in making cost, long in service life and the like, and application of the ZnO-MgO nuclear shell quantum dots is greatly promoted.
