The invention discloses a radiation therapy apparatus and a quality control method for a radiation therapy apparatus. An embodiment of the present invention provides a radiation therapy apparatus for which quality control is performed, comprising: a body part; a gantry coupled to one side of the body part and configured to be rotatable in at least one direction with regard to the body part; a radiation irradiating head for irradiating radiation, the radiation irradiating head being formed on one side of the gentry; and a horizontality control module for measuring a rotation angle of the gentry or the radiation irradiating head and comparing the measured rotation angle with a rotation angle indicated by an angle indicator of the radiation therapy apparatus so as to correct an error of the angle indicator, the horizontality control module being formed on one side of the radiation irradiating head.
