The invention relates to a solar thermal collector capable of detecting leakage. The solar thermal collector comprises a box body and thermal collecting pipes. The top of the box body is provided with a transparent cover plate, and the bottom of the box body is provided with an insulating layer. The thermal collecting pipes are arranged in the box body. The solar thermal collector is characterized in that the solar flat plate type thermal collector further comprises a pressure measurement device which is connected to the thermal collecting pipes, and the pressure measurement device inspects whether the thermal collecting pipes are leaked or not by measuring the pressure inside the thermal collecting pipes; and once leakage occurs, the measured data of the pressure measurement device are abnormal, and valves of fluid entering the thermal collecting pipes are timely closed. According to the provided novel solar thermal collector capable of detecting leakage automatically, leakage is detected by detecting the pressure of the thermal collecting pipes.
