The invention discloses an audio input rapid switcher and switching system based on master and backup protection and working methods. The switcher comprises two ways of audio input signals; one way is master audio input signals; the other way is secondary audio input signals; each way of audio input signals accesses an input interface circuit through A/D conversion; the input interface circuit transmits the audio input signals to a data processing module; the data processing module communicates with a master control unit; and the data processing module compares the two ways of input audio signals in real time and feeds back comparing results to the master control unit. According to the new type audio input rapid switcher, the influence of the fault of a microphone wiring point on an audio system is reduced; and stable and reliable guarantee is provided for a conference.
