The detector comprises a pulse monitoring subsystem, a brain wave monitoring subsystem, a race detecting subsystem and an AT89C51 single chip microcomputer; the pulse monitoring subsystem monitors the pulse states of detected personnel on the basis of detecting results of the race detecting subsystem, the brain wave monitoring subsystem monitors the brain wave states of the detected personnel, and the AT89C51 single chip microcomputer determines the physiological states of the detected personnel on the basis of monitoring results of the pulse monitoring subsystem and the brain wave monitoring subsystem. According to the detector, the race factor is taken in account while the detected personnel are medically monitored, and therefore the monitoring effect is improved.
