The invention relates to a recognition method of large particles in a laser particle analyzer. the method comprises the following steps: continuously acquiring laser intensity IO signals within a set time and scattered signals of all channels through the laser particle analyzer, and numbering in sequence; sorting from large to small according to intensity of attenuation of the IO signals so as to obtain a sorted IO attenuation curve, and recording original numbers of the sorted signals; and processing and calculating the sorted IO attenuation curve to obtain particle size distribution data. According to the method, measurement of large particles is brought forward for the first time, principle of the extinction method and principle of the Mie scattering method are combined, and correction is then carried out by a mathematics method. Thus, accuracy and repeatability during measurement are guaranteed, and coarse particle measurement accuracy is raised.
