The invention discloses a message processing method and system. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a message pushing call initiated by a sender by message-oriented middleware, wherein the identifier of the message pushing call is a first identifier; generating the identifier of a message in the message pushing call for serving as a second identifier, wherein the first identifier is taken as a request field of an application program interface (API) of the message corresponding to the second identifier; and shifting the message corresponding to the second identifier into an out queue, assigning an identifier to be pushed to the message pushing call of the receiver as the first identifier, and pushing a message pushing application to be pushed to the receiver. Through adoption of the method and system, the message tracking and processing efficiency in a multi-module cascade interaction state can be effectively increased; the log troubleshooting time is shortened; and the comprehension complexity of large scale projects is lowered.
