The present invention relates to an endoscope for minimally invasive surgery, especially for use in a robotic surgical system, comprising a main support device (4), which extends substantially over the entire endoscope length from the exterior into the interior of the body and the distal end of which has at least one lighting unit (15, 16) and two image capturing devices (12a, 13a, 14a, 12b, 13b, 14b; 12c), the image capturing devices (12a, 13a, 14a, 12b, 13b, 14b; 12c) being arranged such that they can be swiveled substantially in the same plane from the main support device (4) outwards, a trocar (1), which facilitates access of the endoscope to the interior of the body, and an additional support device (3), which is provided on the trocar (1) and/or the main support device (4). The distal end of the additional support device (3) has an additional image capturing device (8, 9, 10, 11), which is arranged such that it can be swiveled from the additional support device (3) outwards. The additional image capturing device (7, 8, 9, 10) comprises an additional lighting unit (10, 11) and at least one additional image sensor (8, 9), which has a monitoring region that covers the two monitoring regions of the image capturing devices (12a, 13a, 14a, 12b, 13b, 14b; 12c) of the main support device (4).
