A high-strength halogen-free flame-retardant insulating material for home appliance is made from, by weight, 1 to 1.5 parts of fluorosilicone oil, 7 to 8 parts of fumed silica, 3 to 3.6 parts of maleic anhydride grafted polypropylene, 0.2 to 0.3 part of antioxidant 1010, 1 to 1.5 parts of silane coupling agent KH550, 10 to 15 parts of low-density polyethylene resin, 0.3 to 0.4 part of vinyl trimethoxy silane. 0.04 to 0.08 part of dicumyl peroxide, 0.01 to 0.02 part of dibutyltin dilaurate, 50 to 60 parts of magnesium hydroxide, 60 to 65 parts of EVA (ethylene vinyl-acetate copolymer), and 20 to 23 parts of high-density polyethylene resin. The materials, such as low-density polyethylene resin, are used for crosslinking modification of inorganic flame-retardant filler, surface semi-crosslinked flame-retardant filler is obtained and is mixed and crosslinked with basic resin, compatibility of the filler with resin base is improved, and the strength and toughness of the insulating material is improved.
