The invention discloses a special lead for a test on a lightning arrester of a power transmission cable tower. The special lead comprises a lead body; the lead body comprises a lead conductor, wherein an insulating layer covers the lead conductor, a copper wire mesh shielding layer is twisted outside the insulating layer, a protective layer covers the copper wire mesh shielding layer and heat-shrinkable tubings are respectively arranged at the two ends of the protective layer; one end of the lead conductor is connected with a clamp, and the other end of the lead conductor is connected with a conductor plug; the copper wire mesh shielding layer at one side of the conductor plug is connected with an extraction plug of the copper wire mesh shielding layer. The special lead is characterized in that a layer additional copper wire mesh shielding layer covers the protective layer, and an additional protective layer covers the additional copper wire mesh shielding layer; the additional copper wire mesh shielding layer is shorter than the lead conductor, and discharging distances are set between the two ends of the additional copper wire mesh shielding layer and the two ends of the lead conductor; the two ends of the additional protective layer is integrally and hermetically connected with the protective layer; a ground wire is drawn out of the additional copper wire mesh shielding layer. The lead is good in shielding effect and is unlikely to be interfered, and the test is more accurate and reliable.
