The invention discloses a method and a device for dipole hypocenter seismic imaging. The method comprises the following steps of forwards extending a dipole hypocenter wave field along a time axis to obtain a wave field snapshot, corresponding to each sampling moment, of a dipole hypocenter; reversely extending a detector wave field along the time axis to obtain a wave field snapshot, corresponding to each sampling moment, of a detector; performing cross-correlation imaging operation on the wave field snapshots of the dipole hypocenter and the detector at the corresponding sampling moments to obtain single-shot imaging sections; superimposing the single-shot imaging sections to obtain a superimposed imaging section. According to the technical scheme, a single-hypocenter wave field is replaced by the dipole hypocenter wave field, and the correlation of an incident wave field and a reflected wave field during seismic imaging is remarkably improved, so that the requirements of offshore oil and gas exploration are well met.
