The invention discloses a zeolite-attapulgite composite honeycomb body which comprises the following raw materials in parts by mass: 40-60 parts of zeolite powder, 20-40 parts of attapulgite, 2-5 parts of hydroxyethyl cellulose, 0.6-1.2 parts of stearic acid, 0.5-1 part of glycerinum and 10-15 parts of ceramic fiber as well as water which accounts for 20-35% of the total mass of the raw materials. A preparation method comprises the following steps: crushing, roasting and activating natural zeolite and attapulgite, then adding other auxiliaries, sufficiently stirring, refining in vacuum, kneading and aging so as to obtain a plastic slurry material, performing extrusion forming by using a mold, cutting, drying and roasting wet blanks so as to obtain a finished honeycomb product. The honeycomb body is large in specific surface area, good in mechanical strength, stable in chemical property, simple and convenient to production process, low in product cost and convenient to popularize, is applicable to a supported photocatalysis film for wastewater and waste gas treatment, and has low requirement on coefficient of thermal expansion and heat impact resistance.
