A multimedia data recording method using a digital image device is provided and the multimedia data recording method includes: recording vedio data hit by the digital image device and first metadata generated relative to the vedio data; if user request for a selective scene hit at present is input during hitting and recording the vedio data, generating image data corresponding to the scene; receiving one or more search object items for searching for scenes including the same kind of information from media data; selecting one or more scenes that contain each of the search object items during the input of the media data; generating metadata including one or more pieces of scene information from among an index or reproduction time of the selected scenes; and recording the metadata onto a header region and recording the media data onto a payload region.
