The invention relates to an intermediate part (5) for attaching rigid trimming to a vehicle structure, said rigid trimming being assembled at one of the ends thereof to a second flexible trimming which the former covers, thus defining a junction area, said intermediate part (5) having means for attaching to the structure of the vehicle, and means (21) for attaching to the rigid trimming, characterized in that the part is sized so as to extend under the junction area between the two trimmings such that the second flexible trimming is arranged between said intermediate part (5) and the rigid trimming once assembled, and in that the part further has a means (10) for aligning the second flexible trimming with the rigid trimming.
