The invention mainly provides a movable type static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) with a modularization structure. The (STATCOM) generally comprises a voltage source converter connected in parallel to a system, wherein the output capacitance or sensibility reactive current is continuously adjustable and is independent of the voltage of the connecting point of the system. Usually, the phase change of the voltage source converter is realized through a turnoff device, an energy storage component at a direct current side is the converter of a capacitor, and one basic current conversion and an operating unit formed by auxiliary equipment for converting current are combined to form a current conversion module. The chain in the invention is one current conversion module in the chain type voltage source converter, and a die set is a unitized chain in the chain type STATCOM.
