The invention relates to a coil and contact point and producing method thereof, and vacuum circuit breaker and usage thereof, especially relates to the design of a copper based winding whose diameter is larger than 90 mm. The copper based winding is designed as that magnetic field is generated in the electrical contact (2, 3) of a medium voltage vacuum circuit breaker (1). The coil comprises a hollow cylinder (8) which consists of slots (81) formed in a helical manner around a longitudinal axis of the cylinder and are opened inside and outside of the cylinder. Space between two consecutive turns of each slot is not provided with material, and width of each slot is less than 1 mm. the invention also provided the method of producing the coil which is advantageously relative to the realization of the coil contact. The invention has advantages of increasing the mechanical endurance of contact with large diameter, and maintaining the level and symmetry of a magnetic filed obtained by traversing the coil.
