In a standing wave accelerator system, the time from sending a beam-sending order of the accelerator till that the accelerator achieves the stable dosage is generally0.5 to 5 seconds because of the existence of the steps of soft start, AFC frequency stabilization etc. The delay time is long and unfixed, so the fast response capability of the accelerator used as a detector of the radiation source.A fast beam device of a standing wave linear accelerator (fast beam device for short) brings up a conception that a microwave system and an electronic beam emitting system start working at different times that the microwave system starts working before the electronic beam emitting system, the accelerator electronic beam emitting system is started by the beam-sending order (by an electronic gun) after the AFC is put into operation and the operation is stable, and the accelerator emits the X-ray beam. Experiment proves that the time from sending the beam-sending order till that the beam stream of accelerator is stable is less than 100ms.
